Roy Sperry is phobia-ridden projectionist working at the last traditional theater in a city going digital. A floundering luddite, Roy wants nothing more than to prevent the past from disappearing, but the irksome presence of his nubile co-worker threatens everything he is protecting.

Mitch Buckley is a laid back, friendly guy, who meets Natalie by coincidence. His tolerance for Natalie's antics calls his sanity into question, and their strange pairing makes one wonder if there are really coincidences in life, or just patterns that repeat themselves.

Charlie Bell is clever and calculating, with anarchistic ideas about art and life. Since she and Roy are polar opposites in their ideology, he almost makes for the perfect partner in crime... or the perfect patsy.

Francis Short is Roy's strange, but loyal housemate. Adopted off the "adopt-a-roommate" website (a service for people who have had traumatizing living situations) Francis is slowly growing acclimating to a normal environment.
